Overview

I strengthen systems: find the weakness, plan the fix, drive it through. Co-founder and CTO of Gremlin from inception to $10M+ ARR, creating the category of reliability engineering in the process; founder of Amazon's Fatals Team; most recently, growth engineer for climate tech companies. I write code, set strategy, and build the instrumentation that proves the fix worked.

Experience

Lead Growth Engineer, Zero Homes (2026)

Defined and implemented the customer acquisition funnel for a climate tech startup taking homes fully electric, from lead capture all the way to deal closure. Instrumented and automated every step of it, surfacing conversion metrics and the holes in the funnel. Drove $1M in revenue through a new direct to consumer motion in its first 100 days.

Founder & Principal, Reliably Yours LLC (2022 to Present)

Contract product engineering for early stage startups and small businesses: reliable builds from brand to deployed site, growth engineering built in from the first commit, and ongoing care once it ships. Hands on IC work with direct customer contact, from first conversation to production.

Head of Engineering, QuitCarbon (2023 to 2024)

Led engineering for a climate tech startup helping homeowners electrify. Built a web platform to replace manual, spreadsheet based energy modeling with scalable software, working with NREL to improve energy and financial modeling. Drove product direction with the founding team and implemented funnel metrics to track user engagement.

Founder & CTO, Gremlin (2016 to 2022)

Co-founded Gremlin and served as CTO, building it from an idea to $10M+ in revenue with 100+ customers including many Fortune 500 companies, pioneering chaos engineering as a discipline along the way. Built the distributed systems platform for fault injection at scale and led technical strategy, product development, and engineering teams.

Lead Software Engineer, Salesforce (2014 to 2016)

Led the Contacts Team and then the Record Experience Team, improving user experiences across the Salesforce platform. Built an inline preview feature for record types that earned a U.S. patent and overhauled the framework supporting all record types, focusing on system durability and performance.

Lead Software Engineer, Amazon (2010 to 2013)

Founded the Fatals Team to address systemic reliability issues across Amazon's platform. Wrote weekly emails to Jeff Bezos and the executive team detailing failure modes and fixes. Built a real time system to categorize and alert on customer facing errors, reducing failed requests by 54% year over year and saving an estimated $43M in annual revenue.
